It’s Panther Pride Time!

Our Panther Pride officially kicks off NOW. Our goal is to raise $175 per child. All money goes to the school’s operating budget. How can you help?

1) Donate today. Write a check, use PayPal, send cash – whatever works for you.

2) Prefer to fundraise? Use Jog-a-Thon to raise money for Panther Pride!  Ask friends, family, neighbors to support your kiddos laps – and our school.

Your PTO raises about $90,000 annually.  Only 34% of the school’s operating budget is covered by state funding.  We cover the rest, allowing for things like:
Small group reading instruction
Teacher grants for classroom needs
PE and recess equipment
Professional development for staff
Classroom technology
Workroom supplies
Healthroom staffing
Scholarships for after school activities
School Garden
Field Day

… and so much more!

We strive for 100% fundraising participation in Panther Pride.  If we achieve 75% by October 5, 2018, our principal team with sing karaoke with the kids at lunch – this was a smash hit last year with our students!  THANK YOU for your help. Questions, email

School Safety

Miss the PTO Coffee?

Mr. Miller shared the stage with Brendan Sullivan, Director of Security, Safety and Emergency Services for BVSD, and his team. Lots of great resources were shared, and we wanted all parents to be aware. If you ever have questions about BVSD security protocols, or have a concern about individual or school safety, refer to these sources:

1 — Mr. Miller is always available – call the office and ask for him anytime! 720-561-7200

2 — Visit for all information related to district procedures, policies and contact info.

3 — Download the BVSD mobile ap to get alerts about school safety right to your phone. See instructions at: Pages/MobileApp.aspx

4 — If you ever need to make an anonymous report, use Colorado’s

Incoming Kindergarten Lemonades

Come play with other incoming Louisville Elementary School kindergarteners and their families!

These informal meet-ups can help smooth the transition to kindergarten by giving your child a chance to meet new LES friends and they can help parents connect before the school year starts. Come over to the Kindergarten playground at LES to enjoy some lemonade and make some new friends. Please note that no staff will be present, and parents need to stay and supervise their children.

Come once, or come to them all! See you there!

Tuesday, June 12th, 12:00 – 1:00

Wednesday, July 18th, 5:00 – 6:00. Bring your own picnic dinner!

Monday, July 30, 10:00 – 11:00. Principal Miller will be there too!

Sunday, August 12, 3:30 – 4:30. Principal Miller will be there too!

All Kindergarten Lemonades will take place on the Kindergarten playground at Louisville Elementary.

Switching to PTO

During our PTA Meeting at 6:30 p.m. on February 22, we will hold a vote to switch from PTA to PTO status.  We need all of our voting members to cast a vote on this decision.  The primary reason for the switch is that there are fewer limitions on what a PTO can fund, and that more optimally suits our school needs.

The proposed by-laws for the PTO can be found here.
